A Letter to Albert Einstein

The Boyden Library February Question of the Month involves a letter to Albert Einstein.

The Question:  A little known fact about this Deerfield Academy alumnus (whose courage is immortalized in a bestselling memoir* and a 1975 Emmy nominated movie* is that he corresponded with Albert Einstein while still a student at DA. Who is this student?

January Question of the Month:  This award winning actor, who entered Deerfield Academy for a post-grad year, is most famous for playing a survivor of a plane crash on a television series that ran from 2004 to 2010. Who is he?

The Answer: Matthew Fox who starred in the television series Lost. The DVD of the second season of this popular program is available for loan from the Boyden Library.

Also of note:  Another DA alumnus and award winning actor, Nestor Carbonell, guest starred as Richard Alpert in 34 of the 115 episodes of this series.
